The Bassboost function integrates two independent algorithms, ensuring precise and adaptive low-frequency optimization for audio signals:
1.Frequency Separation & Dynamic Compression: First, a professional crossover filter isolates low-frequency and high-frequency components from the original music signal. A dynamic compressor is then applied exclusively to the low-frequency segment—this enhances bass output when the volume is low (preventing weak low-end response) and suppresses excessive bass at higher volumes (avoiding distortion or muddiness).
2.Psychoacoustic Harmonic Generation: The second algorithm leverages psychoacoustic principles to generate natural-sounding harmonics of the original bass components. This creates a perceived "artificial" low-frequency effect, enriching the low-end texture, with only a slight increase in Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) as a trade-off.
Both algorithms can be activated simultaneously for maximum bass enhancement or used independently to match specific audio scenarios and user preferences.
Professional crossover filter for accurate separation of low-frequency and high-frequency signals.
Dynamic compressor that adaptively enhances bass at low volume and controls bass excess at high volume.
Psychoacoustic technology to generate artificial bass harmonics, boosting low-end richness.
This technology is applicable to TWS, OWS, headset, speaker and other audio products.
It has already been mass-produced based on the QCC3091 and QCC3095 platform.
Currently, it has also been ported to the latest Qualcomm S7 PRO platform.
